ONE-OF-A-KIND SERVICES
Forklift and powered industrial truck accident investigations and manager/supervisor training and leadership development programs are one-of-a-kind services not offered by any other providers. Our training and investigation experts can visit your site and perform a comprehensive accident investigation to determine all contributing causes that lead-up to the accident/incident.
Our team will perform a deep dive into all aspects of equipment accidents. From staff training, previous accident/incident reports, facility OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 Forklift code compliance, witness statements, post-accident blood & alcohol reviews, accident location surveys, equipment inspections, lighting, fitness for operation, and much more.
The goal of our approach to accident investigation is to help our clients identify as many of the contributing causes that helped permit the incident from occurring, in one form or another, and develop countermeasures to as many of those causes as possible to prevent a recurrence. Far too many times employers will chalk-up an accident to, “Operator Error”.
In our years of experience, we have determined that there is always a systemic issue(s) that allowed the incident to occur. For example, drivers will take short-cuts to stated safe operating procedures by pushing long pallets of materials into long stacks. Supervisors and managers witness these potentially serious acts and fail to correct it with operators when the behavior is first identified.
These failures in leadership happen every day in business around the world. Remember, when dealing with powered industrial trucks that can weigh tens-of-thousands of pounds, it is vital that every step is taken to prevent serious or potentially fatal accidents before they happen.
SITE SAFETY DEVELOPMENT
To help drive workplace safety, and compliance with OSHA’s 20 CFR 1910.178 forklift code, we’ve developed a one-of-a-kind program for our customers that creates a roadmap to compliance with OSHA’s expectations.
The site-safety development plan is designed to provide an end-to-end systemic evaluation of your facility's compliance with OSHA code. The assessment includes training systems, processes, materials, and documentation. The assessment also includes equipment inspections, facility audits, racking audits, forklift plan reviews, accident investigations, corrective actions, and much, much more.
At the conclusion of the assessment, our staff will develop a roadmap to OSHA compliance with 29 CFR 1910.178. Employers can then use the roadmap to determine budgets and implementation timelines for their compliance efforts. Understanding where the facility’s current state is and working out the roadmap to compliance makes your team’s jobs that much easier.
As items are implemented, they can be checked off the plan to allow easy tracking of items required to bring your facility into full OSHA compliance. Make the process of developing powered industrial truck safety in the workplace
